Decisions, Decisions!

So here are some of the images I am considering for my tattoo, I think I have decided on my thigh for the location, the only exception being the star shoulder tattoo which I really love! Also I think I am excluding all the black only tattoos, even though the colour will fade, I can get it redone, and I just love the colour images! Imagine in the middle of winter looking in the mirror to see a bright little fairy shining back at you?

These butterflies would be lovely on my thigh, I love the swirls that give the idea of movement

But I think this is my favorite, this is obviously just after they were done, cos they look very red and swollen, but I love the randomness of the stars and the colours, how pretty they are

OK, so any opinions or suggestions welcome, I know this is a silly, silly post, but I have loads going on emotionally at the moment, which I want to blog about, but just can't. I hope later on I'll be up to it.
In the meantime it's silly tattoo pics!

Location, location, location!

Wow! Well the top picture is my shoulder...love the freckle sun damage, amazing as I totally hate the sun and cover up totally, give me a burkka and I'd be happy! But the bottom photo is my right thigh, stretch marks and all!

These are the two possible locations? So what do you think?

Help!

Readers of my blog will know that I have a little tattoo, I designed it myself and it's in that predictable place, just over my jeans on my spine!

So I have a dilemma, I have wanted a new tattoo, for quite a long time, but for several reasons it hasn't happened, now I really want to do it, this is the right time in my life, I want to mark this point 35, end of marriage, new relationship, stronger than I ever though I could be!

But I have two issues, where to get it done, and what to get done!

So I am looking for suggestions, I'm gonna post up pictures of the two possible locations on my anatomy, and then pictures of possible tats, I would like some input, now if you are just gonna say "Tattoos are stupid!", you are wasting your keystrokes, it's my skin and I want to decorate it, I've had one for nearly ten years now! I posted a piccy of it already on my blog! I will take peoples suggestions too, anyone know a decent artist, cos the guy I went to has left Ireland! And of course I'll post pictures of it at all levels of scabbiness! Last one healed well, but I was ten years younger!

So First things first, location.......

Up the Lan!

I know it's kitsch...I know I shouldn't love it but I do! Maybe it's cos I'm from Dublin.....is there a Dublin gene that makes me want to sing along and do the actions!!!!

Enjoy!

Cotton Wool Kids!

I watched a programme I taped on Channel four last week, called "Cotton Wool Kids", I don't know if any of you saw it? It basically was about parents who wrap their children up in cotton wool, they don't allow them any freedom at all, all worried that their children would fall down, crack open their little skulls, be sexually abused or murdered! The word the kids and parents all had in common was "Maddy", it was terrifying, these children sitting as their parents tell them things that could happen to them, "No darling, you can't walk to school, you might be abducted and they might rape you...." Seriously, a woman telling her daughter to look at all the people they passed by could be murderers....telling her not to even trust her own family! "Just trust mummy"!

I am horrified!

I am the mother of three, you all know that, and you also know that my eldest son turned ten in March and now he can walk to the shop, and school on his own, he is also allowed to go down to his Friend who lives down the road, today he went into the little park down the road with his friend, that kind of was scary for me, but he is ten, and his friends go with him. Now as I watch these parents, all from different races and backgrounds but all the same, all terrified, terrified of life. I don't think I am a bad mother, I think I am a very good and responsible mother, but I can't understand this level of worry.

I have seen young people die young, I know what life is like, how cruel and unfair it can be. But I live my life with the mantra that life is for living, and my children are constantly changing, obviously my job is take care of them, but that changes over time doesn't it? A baby of 8 weeks needs more care than an eight year old? And just managing the needs of the child aren't enough, does he have enough to eat? Check! Does he have a warm place to stay? Check! Is he safe from harm? Check! But you know you could answer yes to all of those questions and be keeping your child prisoner in a concrete cell! You would be providing all that he needed but in a highly fucked up manner, and I have to say some of the parents on the TV show weren't too far off that.

Computer games and virtual chat rooms have replaced real play time and interactions, acting out what might have happened to "Maddy" with dolls and action men has replaced mummies and daddies and fear has replaced youthful curiosity. Now I understand how hard it is to let go, I am only human, and I am very attached to my kids, but I understand that from the moment they are born, they leave your body you have to start to let go, each step they take away from you that is confident and assured is a sign that you are doing your job well, we all know the saying "If you love something set it free", well to me child rearing is like that, I feel like if I have a job, it's to make my kids independent and responsible enough to deal with the real world!

One of the parents on the programme was considering getting an implant in their daughter, so she could keep track of her, she actually said to her daughter, "so if what happened to Maddy ever happened to you......." Oh dear God! Then there was the father who wouldn't let his 13 year old son out of the house, he kept him in the house, giving him bribes of the latest gadget or computer game console! His son was dangerously overweight but the dad was more worried about him being stabbed in school than developing diabetes! I just don't get it?

Am I mad? Am I the one who needs a kick up the arse, will I regret giving my kids the same freedom I had, will they be drug addicts or criminals? It's so difficult isn't it? Now I have to say I don't push them, I let them call the shots, they always set the pace, if my daughter wants to walk in to her classroom in Montessori alone that's grand but if she doesn't, that's OK too! Having said that I have limits, there are very strict rules, I am not over lax! I am not gonna let him just disappear for hours on end, it's all very organised with strict time scales and punishment if it isn't adhered to!

Filthy Friday!

It was the men this week, courting me with their talk of among other things urinals, Tantric Sex,and Bestiality with Magnum! It was really really tough....and I have had several nights spent wrestling with this (among other things) and i have decided to give something back to someone who has given so much to others....Fustar! Sorry still haven't figured out the fada! I'm a technophobe, seriously!

So Congratulations and if you contact my Gmail I'll pop your well earned Filthy in the post for you! All I ask in return is that you post a piccy of it on a part of your anatomy on your blog....I'm a simple woman really, easily pleased!

Mistress Midget!

I have found the perfect solution to my not being able to afford childcare so I can return to college, I'll work as a Dominatrix for a few years, evenings and weekends, and then when my youngest goes to school I can will have enough money to go to college, I'll be able to pay for the childcare required that is crippling my dreams at the moment. I could continue to dominate men in any spare time I have. Now I have to tell you that being a dominatrix isn't illegal, taking money for a man and then whipping his ass raw, or walking on his foreskin in stiletto heels (not anything I've ever done, but I'm just trying to illustrate my point) is legal, if a man (or woman) pays to have me use a cheese grater on a body part that's not illegal. It's only illegal if I have sex for money.

Now I have huge issues with this, the whole point of the domination is sexual arousal, but just because the mistress doesn't help her slave with sexual release it's not prostitution, does this make sense?

If I am paid to tie someone up in a complex system of knots that leave marks on their bodies that's OK, but consensually giving someone oral sex for money is illegal?

Now as a feminist I have issues with prostitution, it is the oldest profession in the world, women who have nothing have always had that one thing to sell, themselves. There has always been a market for sex hasn't there? Men have always needed, or wanted to pay for sex. The situations that occur that drive women into prostitution haven't really changed, poverty, drug or alcohol addictions, having to support a family, these issues still push women into the position where they feel they have no other option but to sell their bodies. Contrary to what "Belle De Jour" and the ilk suggest that some prostitutes are just women who love sex so much they have to have it, I don't think any woman ever chooses to become a hooker, I think there are often psycho sexual reasons why women think it is OK, but generally women who wind up in the position of feeling they have no other option are doing it with great cost to their own self esteem and mental health.

We all remember Julia Roberts in Pretty women, well there is a large number of young women who do choose to become hookers or escorts to support themselves through college, to better themselves, but their experience differs from Julia's doesn't it? They often find themselves in dangerous situations, we all know those on the edges of society are the most vulnerable aren't they? When a woman is attacked and she is walking home from a party we are appalled but when it's a prostitute (and we very rarely hear about it because of the fear of the girls to go to the police) we think, secretly, "well, what does she expect?"

Now here is where I face my dilemma, I think no woman (or man) should never have to sell their bodies to survive, or better themselves, or feed their babies, but I acknowledge that in our current (patriarchal, capitalist) societies it is a horrible fact of life. Another fact of life is that we often give sex away, a one night stand, is that any better cos no money is exchanged? Or if a guy brings a girl out for an expensive meal and she feels she has to give him a blow job in return cos she "owes him"? Do we all have our price? Are we all hookers in one way or another? So back to my point (I know tangent time) but I acknowledge that it is part of life as we know it, and we should acknowledge it as such, provide an area, provide support for women, medical services, legalise prostitution, eliminate the real scum, the pimps, who exploit the women, let the women be supported by the state, if that means they have to pay tax, sure the hike can be passed onto the consumer! I don't think by protecting the women who work as prostitutes you condone it, in fact you can help the women, educate them, help them to escape if that is what they want to do.

Then there are the men who "use" prostitutes, isn't there? Now I know of one friend of a friend who used to visit a girl, he went for her "Real Girlfriend experience", where you kiss and hold hands, she pretends to be in love with you I suppose, now that I find really sad, instead of just sex (perverse or otherwise) he wanted the fantasy of a relationship, so instead of a meaningless one night stand he chose to pay for pretend intimacy. How do we deal with the guys, I suppose I feel like a man who would visit a prostitute has no respect for women, and some don't, but also some are painfully shy, or have crippling emotional issues that stop them from connecting with women in the real world. I think it's in the Netherlands that disabled people get money for sex, believe it or not people with disabilities need sex too, and there it is paid for.

OK, sorry about the rant, but it's been on my mind for a while!

And in the mean time anyone looking for a bit of discipline should give me a call! I'm putting talc in my latex as we speak!

Filthy Update!

Sorry, this is nothing to do with filthy Badges.....but I've been dying to put this cartoon up for ages!

So the lovely Jo took delivery of her badge ( I have a team of midget slaves you know) and you can see her modelling it, and her fabulous cleavage here!
I have my eyes peeled at the moment for the next recipient!
So do the dirty!

Is it me or is it men?

I'm really pissing my boyfriend off, with my sexist comments, they are pretty much constant "Sure what would you expect from a man? Sure he's only a man! All men are wankers........" the list goes on. I knew it was bad, I mean I was aware it was constant, and I figured it must have bothered him a bit but last week he actually had too much and confronted my sexism. "If I said those things about women you'd freak out!" (not exact words, my BF is more articulate that I am). So far play to him he was right, and I said as much, but....oh yes there was an ominous "but" "But", I said, "if you had experienced women in your life who had treated you the way I've been treated by men, and they were all women then I could understand your anger, hurt and fear." The closest thing I can come to is the "once bitten, twice shy" motto, I've been savaged not once but a few times, I'm an idiot if I don't look at all men as if the were Rottweilers foaming at the mouth, wouldn't I?

I know it's a problem, I was never really a fan of men, I think some women prefer the company of men to women , but men's macho crap and lack of an Id or any Ego boundaries really pisses me off, I prefer to spend my time with people who are caring and gentle and like to listen, now I know some women who don't fit that bill OK? And I'm not too keen on them, but to me it just seems like men are more likely to processes these qualities. So I was always a woman's woman, enjoying the sisterhood, maybe it's cos I'm crap at flirting or even talking to men so I've never really been able to get to know any nice ones well enough to have my preconceptions shattered. What about my ex you say? Well I liked him of course, but it was a blind eye kind of thing, you know I loved him so much I would try to ignore the personality traits I disliked and excuse behaviour that I disagreed with "sure he's only a man!" Then when my relationship ended I was so hurt and vulnerable, felt so exposed I think my "I hate men" feelings hardened around me and now I find it hard to let it drop, scared if I trust, open my life up to another man that I am gonna wind up dead....seriously, I only have a certain amount to give and I feel like my emotional reserves are running on empty a lot of the time.

Now I have fallen in love with my boyfriend, and I feel safe with him, but he is still a man, and every now and again I find myself remembering he's not just the man who reads to me in bed ( I know.....I am in heaven), or brings me a cup of tea and talks to me like my opinion actually means something, but he is also a man, one of those salivating beasts I should have learned to avoid by now! Maybe that is why I talk about how crap men are in his company, on one hand I'm keeping distance between us and maintaining some awareness, so if he does hurt me I won't be TOO surprised, or maybe I'm reminding him..." hey you, I know what you are, you are a man...and I'm watching you?"

I just don't know, maybe lesbianism would be better? But I don't think so, then I'd see all the crap women do to other women and I'd lose all my ( little) faith in human beings?

Unhappy Feet!

I do not like feet.....I really don't like my feet or anyone elses (well I quite like my babies feet, in fact I love to kiss the little baby feet) But I just have an issue with feet, now maybe if my feet looked like the feet in this picture I would feel different about them. My feet are all horrible, really really horrible and I hate people looking at them or touching them! So therefore I like to keep them hidden, socks on at all times!

When I was in Cork for the few days the English under 18 Rugby team were staying there and all they did was wander around the hotel in flip flops......Urghhh! A couple of times I was stuck in a lift with one of them, didn't want to look at the feet, but I just couldn't resist....Hobbit feet!

I love shoes, but only shoes that don't show off my feet, I don't wear sandals. I had an accident when I was 16, I was hit by a car on my bike and as a result I broke my big toe on my right foot and even more yucky the nail was torn off....so I have a crooked, occasionally painful big toe with a horrible deformed nail!

Get a pedicure people sometimes suggest, really pamper my feet, but the mere idea of someone even touching my feet really freaks me out, never mind filing away or whatever they do. I do like to walk barefoot though, always have so while looking at feet freaks me out I'll often wander around, even outside, barefoot! Sorry, I know I shouldn't be exposing my clod hoppers to the world! I also pick up things with my feet, so I don't have to bend, my mum doesn't like that, it's too monkey like! I suppose feet are maybe not meant to be pretty, they are functional?

I could never, ever kiss someones feet (except babies) and the thought of slipping a toe into my mouth.......vomit inducing! Maybe someone in the blogging universe could fill me in on how this can turn either party on?? So you see there some fetishes that are beyond even me.....

Bare Naked Fun!

Music I am loving right now!

Saucy enough for you Nicola?

Forgive me....I just couldn't resist!

Utopia?

My lovely boyfriend has been subjected to my mad rants about how women are not as free and liberated as everyone thinks they are, he had to put up with me for over three hours on the way back from Cork! So on Wednesday he dug out some pamphlets he had on the socialist view of the liberation of women. So this morning while my baby slept in the car I read " The Struggle For Women's Liberation" by Elane Heffernan, I actually really enjoyed it! I have read a lot of feminist literature over the years, but to be honest as I got older, had kids, I realised that a lot of feminist literature was bullshit! If you live as a childless single woman you can go some way towards living an equal life, but if you are married or you have kids then you are doomed by biology to always be at a disadvantage to our male peers.

Now the booklet addresses where sexism comes from, that it is a product of capitalist societies, where the modern family unit is what drives a consumerist way of living, life was so hard for working class people 200 years ago, all the members of the family, from 4 upwards were expected to work 12 to 14 hour days, it became essential to have a member of the family (the mother) at home to make sure that children and old people were taken care of (the other option was the workhouse) they made sure that the other members of the family went into work well cared for.

So basically most feminist literature I've read says that men have oppressed women, and difference here is that the socialist say it's not the working class men but the elite who have oppressed women, but not only women, also the working class men.

Now, the socialist solution...

"The new ideas of liberation will be given force and coherence as privatised reproduction id=s supplanted by a new system of communal living.
When childcare becomes not the responsibility of individual women, but the whole of society, the basis for believing women's biology makes them somehow weaker and more emotional than men will be undercut.
When house work is not the burden of individual families, when people aren't forced to live in units that fit into a two up two down house, the path will be opened for women to play a full and equal role in every sphere of life"

It just doesn't work for me, I really want it to, I want after all this time to have discovered a system of living that would make sexism a thing of the past, but I just can't make that leap. I don't think I'm idealistic enough to believe that a socialist utopia would work any better than capitalism, I think human beings are fatally flawed and their anger and selfishness would corrupt any system. I also wouldn't like to live in a system that replaced the (ok, dysfunctional) modern family unit of mum dad and 2.5 kids, for a more "communal" way of living, I love the idea of living in a more traditional extended family unit, and to most of us today our friends fill that role, but I don't want to share the raising of my children or eat in a communal kitchen.....sorry!

Then there is the silly issue I have with socialism, I see it as grey and uniform! I see communist block Russia, I see people looking uniform, no celebration of the differences between men and women. While reading the booklet there was a total dismissal of make up and pretty apparel for women, apparently women wanting to look attractive is all the capitalist societies fault. I find that quite patronising. I like to be pretty and colourful, and while the outside but is only packaging for our real selves, it's still a bit I like to decorate as much as possible! Now I've been assured that this uniformity is just propaganda from the capitalist elite, but I don't know? Did communism produce much great art or music? I don't know. I am gonna read the second booklet asap, I will post again about my discoveries....bet you can't wait!

I'll never be a socialist will I?

Filthy Fridays!

My inaugural Filthy Friday Link, the winner of the first Filthy badge ever, which I'm sure will be cherished by the winner, is this!
Well done missus, and I totally agree with the roughly from behind bit!

Slap and Tickle?

I'm wondering if there is something amiss with me? I know I can hear the chorus of "Thank God, she has seen the light!" You see the picture? Well, bit of light bondage? It reminds me of those films where the villain tied the helpless heroine to the railway tracks and there is a close up of her eyes widening in fear as the steam train advances on her! This was the highlight of the film for me, and later on I'd imagine I was that golden haired vixen being tied to the tracks. I never thought that was strange, just like I found Dick Dastardly very attractive when he tied Penelope Pittstop to the animated tracks! Now, I know this isn't normal and usually it's the hero that lights up other girls hearts, but then it just seemed normal.

Now I consider myself quite well informed, I'm not submissive in any area of my everyday life, I would consider myself a feminist, and therefore I am aware that images of women being tied up and submissive are politically incorrect and socially unacceptable, you can't sell chocolate with submission....well Milk Tray even had to stop the sexy guy breaking and entering ladies bedrooms with crappy chocolates! Is there something wrong with me that I like the idea of Domination and Submission? I think I have an incredibly well balanced personality I like to be in control of myself or others at times, and then other times I like to submit, it's yin and yang isn't it? Everything in moderation?

So the other night a friend asked me what I was up to for my birthday and I said, "oh dinner a movie and a little light bondage!" Is there such a thing? Bondage "lite", enjoy bondage lite responsibly! Does everyone I know have some handcuffs and a whip in their bedside drawer? Has bondage become suburban?

Anyway, as I sit here, cup of green tea beside me, baby crawling around it's difficult to write about my "darker side", but I think the domesticity and "niceness" of my life pushes me to places where I want to rebel.......

Cupcake Crazy!

This is me today, wearing a very threadbare cardi and my Cupcake pendant that Jo bought me for my birthday! Isn't it just divine? Ok, so I have a confession to make, I love Cupcakes, I love to make them, eat them and most of all I love the iconography of them! I love pictures of cakes, I love cake stands and cup cake cases (I bought silicone ones in the states, heart shaped, I've never used them. I love the little things you buy to go on top of the cup cakes, from natural coloured Glace cherries to sugar flowers! As I mentioned I like all cakes, but Cup Cakes and muffins in particular are more pleasing, I suppose it's because each one is complete in itself! Each one is a little work of art.

I have a fantasy of opening a sop that sells amazing cupcakes, all tasty and all works of art, there are bakeries like that in the USA and in London, but here any cupcakes I've had have just been crap. Anything bought in a bakery, even a luxury bakery is made with marg, and you can taste the difference, the decoration is ok, a flower or some chocolate but never as ornate as I'd like, I want something to be so painfully beautiful i don't want to eat it. The two pictures above are cakes made by Peggy Porschen, she makes amazing cakes, from wedding cakes to cup cakes, aren't they divine? I love the edible glitter, and the bollywood colours!
So, I've outed myself again, I am a girlie!

It's 4am....I can't sleep!

It's 4 am and I can't sleep. There are so many things going through my head that even though I am shattered I can't turn off my brain, so forgive me now as i vomit the contents of my brain out into cyber space!
First things first, I have cancelled my appointment for my consultation to talk about getting my tubes tied, why? Well I'm just not sure. I'm not sure I want to put a line under that part of my life. OK, so I am 35, I have three children, and my lovely boyfriend and I have a gaggle between us, so kids aren't on the cards for us, but what if? What if my lovely boyfriend decides he'd prefer a more uncomplicated, romantic and less Gothic girlfriend than me? What if then I meet a guy I like who has no children, if I really loved someone I would want to have a baby with them, if that was something they wanted in their life. Am I too old? I have friends who have had babies at 39? I have been having serious doubts about the tube tying, for about three months, I just was assuming it was cold feet, but I think I'm not ready to say goodbye to my fertility, yet.

The other more practical reason is I am on the pill, and this time, for the first time ever, it seems to be working for me without turning me into a psycho or deleting my sex drive! So I can continue to take the pill for a year or so, once my health stays good, once I keep my weight down and my blood pressure stays OK. The pill has made my periods bearable for the first time in years too, I am no longer doubled over in pain and and feeling crap for a week. Also if you look back over my blog you'll see there hasn't been a load of my life is crap posts for a while...that is because of the pill, for at least two weeks a month I was feeling like everything was too much, like I really was struggling to cope, and since I started on the pill, and stopped ovulating the lows have disappeared. Now don't get me wrong, I still feel down at times, but for a reason, not just "because"! And feeling more balanced is great. Now if I get my tubes tied and I want to maintain this emotional/hormonal balance I'll have to stay on the pill....which seems a bit silly!

Now the other thing that is worrying me, and keeping me awake is my future....nothing serious you see, just huge issues pounding through my head on a school night preventing me from resting!

My future.....

Earlier on this year I had it all worked out, I'd decided to go to college, to be a mature student and study midwifery, my folks and my ex had said they would support and help me to pursue my dream, but then when faced with the reality I realised it just wasn't gonna happen, unless I moved in with my parents, and if I did that I wouldn't be talking about getting my tubes tied but looking into voluntary euthanasia (for them or me...wouldn't matter)! So now I am faced with the work issue, I want to work, I want to have a normal life, I have no desire to remain dependant on my ex husband to support me for the next 17 years until my baby son is 18! I am a hard worker, I know I am, I learn quickly and I am a total perfectionist, much too hard on myself, so an ideal candidate for a nice little office job, I can work away for a few years part time until my youngest goes to school and then hopefully manage to go to work full time? One problem....

Childcare

How the fuck does anyone with more than one kid work in Ireland? Unless when you have your kids you have worked your way up to a point where you are earning well over the odds, when you go back to work after your first kid childcare will eat up one thousand euro of your salary after tax, and another eight hundred or so for each kid after that, now my two older kids will be in primary school in September so in theory I would only have to pay four hundred euro each for after school care for them and a grand for my baby......that's one thousand and eight hundred euro a month....there is no way I could earn that after tax, unless I consider doing a Belle De Jour!

So my options? Work from home, ironing or childminding, something like that? That won't cut the mustard for me, I need social interaction, I want to get back out there in the work force so I am working away and eventually working my way up the ladder, but how? I suppose the part time option is there, I will be free from 9am until 1pm every day come September, so I'll have three hours a day, fifteen hours a week, in which I'll have to earn enough to cover childcare for my baby son....arghhhhhh! It just doesn't add up!

Can you see why I can't sleep? When I was in therapy I learned that when life gets like this and I can't change it I just have to live in the moment, enjoy where I am now, and I am enjoying my life now, but I can't ignore the future! Can I? I know I can't sit on my arse for the next four years until my baby goes to school and childcare becomes more affordable, I'll go bloody insane! Can some one pay me to blog? I'm write about anything you want....God! Now it's 4:45 am, the alarm will go off at 6.32....I hope I can sleep now I've vented.
I

t's funny actually I went to the movies with a mummy friend tonight and when I got in I called my BF, and we were talking about my blog, how I was struggling to find things to write about as my life became more content....and there you go, angst is good for blogging but bad for sleeping!

Lookie what I got!

Damien Mulley, he of the famed Fluffy badges sent me these this morning.......
His suggestion is as I am so filthy (it's OK Damien, I admit it!) that I give them away to people who write filthy blog posts.....Hmm?
I love this idea, and I am gonna start looking around, they are in limited supply though and next year at the blog awards would look nice next to your fluffy....Come on then lads give me something to think about!
Btw no dirty posts...Ala How clean is your house...OK?

Whiskey makes you Frisky and Brandy makes you Randy!

As I mentioned in my earlier post my lovely BF and I headed to Cork last weekend (feels like a year ago now!) one of the things we did was visit the Jameson Distillery in Midleton, I highly recommend it. I have been there several times, one of the advantages of traveling around Ireland by car has resulted with a love of all things touristy! It's not a bad thing, people should do it more, but we don't. I'm always amazed at how little of our little island most Irish people have seen, and yet we have been all over the rest of the world!

So our American tour guide (pretty girl....not much happening upstairs "Don't ask me, I'm just a girl!") did the tour of the factory and wound up in the bar where my BF was chosen to take part in the Whiskey tasting. He got to try some whiskey and then he got his free whiskey and mine, as I was driving, I sat there, middle of the day, watching as he relaxed even more and got a little bit tipsy! Remembering how much I L-O-V-E whiskey, I mean I totally heart it! I have gone through my Southern comfort days, my Jack Daniels days, but my Irish whiskey days......yum! Jameson with sparkling water, so good.....and no hangover!

Don't believe me? I tell you the truth!

The smiling Barbie tour guide explained why this was, Irish whiskey is the only whiskey to be triple distilled! American whisky is only distilled once, Scotch twice, but the Irish, sure begorra and begosh, we are the only ones to do it three times! I think it could be a Druid thing, the whole Wicca rule of three? Takes out the bad alcohol that gives you the hangover! I suppose that combined with all the sparkling water would stop you from feeling too crap! So as soon as we got back to the Hotel, I was gasping for a whiskey, so so good!

And now, well it's Thursday night, I brought my 10 year old son to see Drillbit Taylor and I am not feeling too great, so I am sitting here blogging, and enjoying a hot whiskey with cloves and lemon.....yummy!

I love whiskey!

It's my favorite spirit, Vodka (except polish Bison grass vodka) is bland, tastes of nothing at all, Gin is flowery and yummy, but occasionally makes me cry, Tequila is soo lovely but can occasionally make me slightly insane! So Whiskey is smooth and tasty, it has a lovely flavour, I love to smell it on my lovers breath.....
